All Things That Pertain Unto Life

In the writings of the apostle Peter, we are told that God has given us all things that pertain unto life. We want to especially notice in his writings that he is speaking in a possessive sense, for it says that He has given, which lets us know that the kingdom of God has been placed within us. It contains all things that pertain unto life. Now, if God is the Spirit of life and has given us all things that pertain unto life, then we have need of nothing, if we have faith in these spoken words of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The Bible says that Israel had the Word of God, but it, not being mixed with faith, did not profit them. To them that believe, it is the power of God unto salvation.

The word "salvation" also means deliverance from fears, sicknesses and bondage. If God has given us all things that pertain unto life, then this certainly means that we do not have to seek God for life, for He is life, and if we are Christians, then we already possess life and all things that pertain unto life. Therefore, we do not seek God for healing, but rather to understand life and how to enjoy healing or how to make it effective in our body. That which we need, we already possess in our soul.

What do you think are the things that pertain unto life? First of all, God is the fountain of life, the Spirit of life itself, and all that pertains unto life. God is life. He is not for anything or in harmony with anything that does not pertain unto life.

God is the manifested spiritual inspirational word of life. As God the Spirit spoke, His very utterance, the words of His voice, materialized into a human body called the Son of God. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld Him as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. What the Word did then, to and for those while it was flesh, it is still doing to and for those who believe in it today: all things that pertain unto life. He went about healing all those that were oppressed of the devil. Any promise is effective when mixed with faith. What are the things that pertain unto life? To itemize them, they would go something like this: healing, salvation, freedom from worries, freedom from fears, financial obligations met, joy and happiness, health for the family, sufficient food and clothing, a good job that can afford your needs, transportation to and from your job, and many, many other things that pertain unto life.
